Behaviour & Compatibility
House individually. Allow settling time and avoid handling for at least 48 hours after a meal. Monitor body condition rather than feeding every time food is accepted.
Feeding & Nutrition
Offer appropriately sized, fully thawed whole rodents. Growing juveniles generally eat more frequently than adults; adults commonly feed every 2–4 weeks, depending on size and body condition. Confirm the animal’s established prey size and schedule at collection. Routine calcium dusting is not required on a balanced whole-prey diet. Provide fresh drinking water.
Routine Care
Check temperatures, humidity, appetite and behaviour daily. Replace drinking water and remove waste promptly. Clean bowls and contaminated furnishings regularly; monitor weight and shedding. Arrange advice from an exotics vet for persistent changes in appetite, breathing or movement.
Important Before Buying
Run and check the enclosure before collection. Adult housing requirements apply even when the animal is sold as a baby. Confirm the animal’s current food, age and supplement schedule with our reptile team.
