Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens'
Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens', commonly known as Black Mondo Grass, is a striking, low-growing evergreen perennial with deep purple-black, grass-like foliage. This slow-spreading plant forms dense clumps, making it an excellent choice for ground cover, edging, or adding contrast in borders and rock gardens. In summer, small pale lilac to white flowers appear, followed by glossy black berries in autumn, adding further seasonal interest.
