Winter Jasmine | Jasminum nudiflorum (3 Litre)
Winter Jasmine is a deciduous wall shrub with bright yellow, unscented flowers on bare green stems in winter and early spring. Its long, arching branches can be tied to supports or allowed to cascade over a low wall.
Why we like it
- Yellow flowers brighten the quieter winter months.
- Green stems add interest after leaves fall.
- Useful for walls, fences and cascading displays.
What to know
- Grow in sun or partial shade in a sheltered spot.
- Plant in reasonably fertile, well-drained soil.
- Tie branches to wires or a trellis: it does not climb by twining.
- Water regularly until established and during prolonged dry weather.
- Prune just after flowering, cutting flowered shoots back to strong young growth.
