Venezuelan Black Corydoras (Corydoras aeneus) is a peaceful, social bottom-dwelling catfish for a mature freshwater aquarium.

Behaviour and compatibility
Keep a group of its own kind, with peaceful fish that share its water needs. Feed the bottom dwellers directly; they should not depend on scraps from other fish.
Diet
Offer quality sinking catfish food plus appropriately sized frozen or live foods. Feed measured portions and avoid leftover food accumulating in the substrate.
Care notes
Maintain stable water, zero ammonia and nitrite, and regular testing and partial water changes. Acclimate new fish gradually. Confirm any species-specific water needs before adding them to an established community.
