Behaviour & Compatibility
A distinct wild betta species, not a colour morph of Betta splendens. Provide dense cover, gentle filtration, a secure lid and breathing access at the surface.
Feeding & Nutrition
Omnivorous, feeding on a variety of foods including high-quality pellets, flakes, frozen/live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and insect-based protein sources. Feed measured portions rather than allowing food to accumulate; juveniles may need smaller, more frequent meals. Make sure bottom-dwelling or shy animals receive their share.
Routine Care
Check appetite, breathing, equipment and water temperature daily. Test water regularly; ammonia and nitrite must remain at zero. Make regular partial water changes using conditioned, temperature-matched water. Rinse biological filter media in removed tank water, preserving the filter bacteria.

Confirm the supplied stock’s current pH, hardness, salinity and diet. Do not apply a generic ornamental betta water prescription without checking those details.
