Starter Maintenance Bacteria

Using aquarium bacterial products

Starter and maintenance bacterial products are intended to support the aquarium's biological processes. Compare the stated use for a new tank, filter maintenance or an established aquarium before choosing a product.

Follow the manufacturer's storage and dosing instructions and continue monitoring water quality. Adding a bacterial product does not remove the need to test the water or confirm that the aquarium is ready before increasing its stock.
