Size pond filtration around the pond and its fish
Choose a pond filter by its stated application, supported pond volume and fish load, not just the size of the casing. Check the required pump flow and whether the listing is a complete system, a filter unit or replacement material.
Allow space for servicing, cleaning and hose connections. Read the manufacturer's capacity guidance carefully, especially where ratings differ for ponds with and without fish or for koi ponds.
