Enclosure Requirements

  • Tank Size: Minimum 10–15 liters for a single adult

  • Substrate: 3–5 cm of coconut fiber, soil, or peat moss

  • Decor: Cork bark, branches, and vertical climbing structures

  • Humidity: 65–75%

  • Temperature:

    • Day: 24–28°C

    • Night: 20–24°C

  • Lighting: Low light; indirect only

  • Ventilation: Moderate airflow to prevent mold

Compatibility

  • Best housed singly; may show aggression toward other scorpions.

  • Avoid housing with other invertebrates except prey items.

Diet

  • Carnivorous; feeds on live insects:

    • Crickets

    • Small roaches

    • Mealworms

  • Feed juveniles 2–3× per week; adults 1–2× per week

  • Provide small shallow water source or mist enclosure lightly

  • Remove uneaten prey after 24 hours
