Temperament & Handling
Usually secretive and relatively calm for a large scorpion, but can pinch and sting. Handling is not recommended.

Recommended enclosure: Adult: about 45 × 30 × 30 cm with a secure lid
Temperature: 24–27 °C
Humidity: 60–80%
Substrate: 10–15 cm of deep, compactable soil/coco mix kept moderately moist
Décor & hides: cork bark, leaf litter and secure hides
Feeding & Water
Feeding: Crickets, roaches, locusts and other suitable live invertebrates.
Water: Shallow water dish at all times.
Special Care
Provide deep substrate for burrowing and good ventilation. Females carry live-born young on their back after birth.
Compatibility
Best kept singly unless experienced with the species and enclosure is very spacious.
