The species-appropriate keeping and care of the green mantis (Hierodula patellifera) does not pose any significant complications, even for laypeople. The mantises are easy to keep and for this very reason are very popular in terrarium circles. You need a terrarium measuring 20 x 20 x 20 cm. The terrarium should have a substrate made of earth, sand or humus and be equipped with various branches and plants. This creates a natural environment in the terrarium and makes the acclimatization phase much easier for the mantids.
