The Elephant Ear Platinum Guppy Male, a unique and striking variant of Poecilia reticulata, is highly sought after in the aquarium hobby for its distinctive appearance and lively nature. This variety is named for its large, flared pectoral fins that resemble the ears of an elephant, coupled with its shimmering platinum coloration. The platinum shade gives these guppies an almost metallic sheen, making them stand out in any aquarium setting. Male Elephant Ear Platinum Guppies are smaller and more vibrantly colored than females and are known for their flamboyant finnage and active swimming behavior.

Origin: Guppies, including the Elephant Ear Platinum variety, are native to northeastern South America but have been extensively bred worldwide for their diverse color and fin traits.

Temperature: The ideal temperature range for Elephant Ear Platinum Guppy Males is between 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F).

Water Quality: They adapt well to various water conditions but prefer a pH range of 7.0 to 8.0 and moderate water hardness.

Aquarium Size: A minimum of 40 liters is recommended for these guppies, as they are active swimmers and enjoy socializing in groups. The tank should be well-planted, providing ample space for swimming and hiding.
