These cichlids are native to South America, particularly Venezuela and Colombia, and are known for their peaceful nature, making them suitable for community aquariums. Rams are available in various color morphs, with the most common being the Electric Blue Ram and the German Blue Ram.

Origin: Ram Cichlids are native to South America, found in regions of Venezuela and Colombia.

Temperature: The ideal temperature range for Ram Cichlids is between 24°C to 28°C (75°F to 82°F).

Water Quality: They thrive in slightly acidic to neutral water conditions with a pH range of 6.0 to 7.0. Maintaining good water quality is essential for their health.

Aquarium Size: A minimum tank size of 75 liters is suitable for a pair of Ram Cichlids. They can be kept in smaller tanks, but providing more space allows them to establish territories and reduce aggression.

Feeding: Ram Cichlids are omnivorous and should be fed a varied diet. They enjoy high-quality flake or pellet food, supplemented with live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and small invertebrates. They may also graze on plant matter.

Lifespan: With proper care, Ram Cichlids can live for about 2 to 4 years.

Behavior and Personality: Ram Cichlids are known for their peaceful and social nature, which makes them suitable for community aquariums with other non-aggressive fish species. They are also known to form strong pair bonds when kept in pairs. Their striking colors and interesting behavior, such as digging and exploring, add vibrancy to any tank.
