Vinca minor 'Illumination' is a striking variegated variety of the common periwinkle, known for its vibrant golden-yellow leaves edged in green and adorned with deep blue flowers. This groundcover plant is highly valued for its ability to brighten shady areas of the garden, providing a luminous contrast against the darker foliage of surrounding plants. 'Illumination' is particularly noted for its robustness in challenging garden spots, where it spreads to form a dense mat that suppresses weeds and provides year-round interest.
