Polystichum munitum, commonly known as the Western sword fern, is a resilient and iconic evergreen fern native to the Pacific Northwest of North America. With its robust and upright fronds, this fern creates lush greenery in shady woodland areas, moist slopes, and along streams. Each frond, or leaf, emerges from a central crown, unfurling gracefully into a series of leathery, dark green leaflets.
