The Royal Python Pastel Het Clown is a stunning python morph that is highly sought after by reptile enthusiasts. This python morph is a combination of the Pastel and Clown genes, which results in a beautiful and unique coloration. The Royal Python, also known as the Ball Python, is a popular pet snake due to its docile nature and manageable size. The Pastel Het Clown morph is relatively easy to care for, making it an excellent choice for first-time snake owners.

Origin: The Royal Python is native to Central and West Africa, specifically in countries such as Ghana, Togo, and Benin. They are commonly found in grasslands, savannas, and sparsely wooded areas. The Pastel Het Clown morph is a result of selective breeding in captivity.

Temperature: The ideal temperature range for a Royal Python Pastel Het Clown is between 80-85°F (26-29°C) during the day, with a slight drop to around 75°F (24°C) at night. It is essential to maintain a consistent temperature in their enclosure, as sudden drops or spikes in temperature can stress the snake and even lead to illness.

Housing: The Royal Python Pastel Het Clown requires an enclosure that is at least 36 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 12 inches high. They need a hiding spot, such as a hollow log or a small cave, and a water dish. The enclosure should also have a heat source, such as an under-tank heating pad or a heat lamp. The substrate should be easy to clean, and the enclosure should be cleaned regularly.

Feeding: Royal Python Pastel Het Clowns are carnivorous and primarily feed on rodents such as mice and rats. Juveniles should be fed once every five to seven days, while adults can be fed every seven to ten days. It is essential to provide the snake with an appropriately sized prey item to avoid overfeeding or underfeeding.

Lifespan: Royal Python Pastel Het Clowns have a lifespan of 20 to 30 years in captivity with proper care. They reach sexual maturity at around three years old and can continue to breed for many years.

Behavior and Personality: Royal Python Pastel Het Clowns are known for their docile and gentle nature, making them an excellent choice for first-time snake owners. They are not typically aggressive and rarely bite, even when threatened. When stressed or scared, they may curl up into a ball or retreat to their hiding spot. Royal Python Pastel Het Clowns are relatively easy to handle and enjoy being held by their owners.
