Megaphobema robustum is a very large species from Colombia. The distribution area is west of the capital Bogota. Due to the altitude of the habitat, temperatures are sometimes very low, especially at night. The original habitat of Megaphobema robustum is in the montane rainforest. It inhabits self-dug or taken over burrows in the ground. The style is a bit hectic and nervous. It digs a lot and immediately retreats to its hiding place when disturbed. If you press them, you will bombard them heavily. Due to its color, Megaphobema robustum is certainly one of the prettiest among the very large South American tarantula species.
