Brachypelma klaasi is a tarantula from Mexico and is considered one of the rarest spiders of the genus Brachypelma. It only occurs in the southwest of Mexico. There it can be found at altitudes of 300 to 1400 m above sea level. She digs deep caves in which she lives in a very secluded manner. It is one of the so-called bombardier spiders that defend themselves by shedding their stinging hairs.

Temperature and Humidity: To keep Mexican Pink Tarantulas in captivity, it's crucial to provide an environment that replicates their natural habitat. Maintain a temperature range between 75°F to 85°F (24°C to 29°C) and humidity levels between 70% to 80%. A terrarium with proper ventilation and a water dish can help maintain these conditions.

Housing: When housing Mexican Pink Tarantulas, an enclosure with secure locking lids is necessary, as they are known to be escape artists. Substrate like coconut fiber or peat moss should be provided, allowing them to burrow or create hides. Decorations like pieces of wood and plants can be added to mimic their natural environment.

Feeding: These tarantulas are carnivorous and primarily feed on insects such as crickets, mealworms, and roaches. Prey items should be appropriately sized for the tarantula's body, and feeding can be done about once a week for adults. Offer a variety of prey to ensure a balanced diet.

Lifespan: Mexican Pink Tarantulas have a relatively long lifespan in captivity, with females living up to 15 to 20 years or more and males having a shorter lifespan of around 5 to 7 years. Like all tarantulas, they go through molting stages to grow, shedding their exoskeletons.
