Product details

Everything you need to know about this product.

Iceberg is a standard rose, grown with a raised crown of flowers, with white blooms. Enjoy its summer flowers in a sunny, well-prepared planting position.

Why we like it

  • White flowers give this variety its character.
  • The raised flowering crown creates a focal point in borders or large containers.
  • 100% Irish grown and covered by our five-year rose guarantee.

What to know

  • Supplied in a 12 litre pot; pot capacity is not the mature plant size.
  • Plant in fertile, moisture-retentive soil with good drainage, preferably in a sunny position.
  • Water thoroughly after planting and during dry spells; container roses need more frequent attention.
  • Apply a suitable rose feed according to its instructions and mulch in spring.
  • Provide a firm stake for the stem and keep the crown tidy with appropriate annual pruning.

Give it a good start

Choose a sunny position with good airflow and soil that drains well. Prepare enough space for the rose’s mature crown and roots; avoid planting into waterlogged soil.

See planting steps

Water the pot before planting. Prepare a hole wider than the rootball, following the rose’s planting guidance for graft depth. Backfill, firm gently and water thoroughly. Standard roses need a suitable stake and soft tie: our team can help you choose.

Keep it looking its best

Water at soil level while the rose establishes and during dry spells. Feed during the growing season using one suitable rose feed, and mulch while keeping the stem clear.

A tip from our team

Pruning depends on the rose type. For standard roses, care for the flowering crown and check the stake and tie regularly. Ask our team before pruning if you are unsure.

Our 5 year plant guarantee

Grow with confidence. Our shrubs, hedging, trees and roses come with a 5 year guarantee.

Packed by people who care

From our garden centre to your garden

We take as much care packing your plants as we do choosing and caring for them. Every plant is carefully wrapped and secured for its journey from Newlands to your door.

Recycled cardboard, carefully wrapped

We wrap every plant in recycled shredded cardboard and pack it neatly into cardboard boxes, cushioning and protecting it on its journey.

Protected for the journey

We secure plants with care so they stay protected even if the box is turned upside down in transit.

As little plastic as possible

We avoid plastic wherever we can in our packaging. Aquatic plants are an exception, as they need suitable packaging to retain moisture.

Plant dispatch: Monday to Thursday

We dispatch plants Monday to Thursday to help avoid them sitting in a distribution warehouse over the weekend.

I am absolutely delighted with the service I have received from Newlands . The Order of various daffodil bulbs were delivered the next day ! How efficient was that! I have begun to plant them to have an early spring display. Each of the bulbs look healthy and not soft as sometimes occurs . HabiStat Leopard Gecko Substrate 10kg
Excellent

Tried this substrate out of curiosity. Previously my gecko was on Earth Pro Arid which itself is a good substrate, so I didn't expect it to be outperformed. I prefer this substrate by far. It does not give off any dust when dry. When wet it sticks and holds together like sand on a beach, making it very malleable and easy to landscape your viv. It holds humidity very well. My gecko hates sphagnum moss, so I use this in his humid hide and it works just as good, so it's solved that issue for us!

Everything I ordered came packaged very securely with fragile stickers attached to the outside. Which was appreciated as bulbs were also in my order. Order arrived quickly too!

Ceropegia woodii in Hanging Pot P14
Fantastic service

I was let know my new string was the last one and was a little bit sorry for itself and even sent a picture which I think is great service and was offered the choice to choose something else. But as it was this particular plant I wanted I asked for it to be sent. After a week of intensive care it’s starting to put out new growth. I’m seriously impressed with this company and the service most wouldn’t have bothered checking with you. This was my first order with this company and needless to say if I need anything else I’ll be back
