Temperature: The ideal temperature range for the Black Uruguay Tarantula is between 22-26°C (72-79°F), with a humidity level of around 70%.

Housing: When it comes to housing, the Black Uruguay Tarantula requires a terrarium that is at least three times the leg span of the spider in width and length. A substrate of peat moss, vermiculite, or coconut fiber should be used, with a shallow water dish for drinking. They also require hiding places such as cork bark or a small log.

Feeding: The Black Uruguay Tarantula is a carnivorous species that feeds on insects such as crickets, roaches, and mealworms. They should be fed live prey, as they will not usually accept pre-killed food.
