A blend of 19 species of nectar and pollen-rich annual and perennial flowers, which are proven favorites of honey bees in our gardens. Our special selection provides forage over a long season making it an invaluable food source for bees. This colourful flower mix is perfect for those gardeners with their honeybee hives, or those wishing to encourage bees into their gardens. Height: 60cm (24"). Spread: 30cm (12").
1 gram of seed sows an area of approximately 1 square metre.
Direct sow wildflower seeds outdoors where they are to grow from March to May once the soil has warmed. Choose a position in full sun on well-drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow seeds thinly, and rake lightly to cover the seed, or sow in at a depth of 1.5cm (&frac116;") in drills spaced 30cm (12") apart. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. Germination usually takes 14-21 days. As seedlings germinate, carefully thin out any that are too close together with a trowel and replant elsewhere.
