Feeding & Nutrition
A varied mainly plant-based diet with suitable leafy foods, vegetables, fruit and the limited animal-protein component appropriate to this species. Ask our team for the supplied animal’s proportions and supplement plan. Supply calcium and a shallow accessible water dish. Do not use Mediterranean-tortoise feeding or hibernation advice for this tropical species.
Routine Care
Check temperatures, humidity, appetite and behaviour daily. Replace drinking water and remove waste promptly. Clean bowls and contaminated furnishings regularly; monitor weight and shedding. Arrange advice from an exotics vet for persistent changes in appetite, breathing or movement.
Important Before Buying
A decades-long commitment. This tropical species does not hibernate; Irish outdoor conditions alone are unsuitable throughout the year.
