The Pictus Catfish (Pimelodella pictus), often known simply as the Pictus or Angel Catfish, is a striking and energetic freshwater species known for its long whisker-like barbels and bold, fast-swimming nature. Native to the Amazon and Orinoco river basins, these fish are active, social, and thrive when kept in groups. Their playful swimming style makes them excellent display fish, but they require plenty of space and pristine water conditions to stay healthy.
