Behaviour & Compatibility
Mostly terrestrial and capable of climbing and escaping. Avoid handling; claws can pinch strongly. Do not keep with other species.
Feeding & Nutrition
Varied mainly plant-based foods, including suitable leaves, vegetables and occasional fruit, with a limited appropriate protein component and accessible calcium. Remove fresh leftovers promptly. Confirm the current diet and supplement plan with our team; do not feed insects as the only staple.
Routine Care
Maintain clean bathing water and appropriate moisture at depth. Check lid security and ventilation. Leave a buried moulting crab undisturbed and keep its shed exoskeleton available as a calcium source.
Important Before Buying
A land crab requires deep terrestrial substrate, not a conventional fish aquarium. Prepare both water options and safe exits; confirm the individual’s current conditions before purchase.
