The landscape
Behind the layout
Java ferns rise above moss-covered rocks in this 57-litre display by James Starr-Marshall. An open sandy foreground gives the planting room to stand out, while Narrow and Trident ferns provide contrasting leaf shapes.
The original aquarium was designed without injected CO₂ and used Tropica AquaDecor plants already attached to wood or lava rock. Our links match the plant varieties; some are supplied as pots or portions for you to attach yourself. Keep fern rhizomes above the substrate and use the guide to plan their position.
