Provide a sandy substrate, plants and driftwood, with shaded cover and open swimming space. Maintain suitable filtration and regular partial water changes.
Behaviour and compatibility

Diet
Offer good-quality small flakes or granules, supplemented by live or frozen Daphnia, bloodworm and other suitably sized foods.
Care notes
A group and sheltered planting help this species settle and display its colours. Stable, clean water is important.
