Product details

Everything you need to know about this product.

Add instant colour at eye level with this ready-planted 12-inch (approximately 30cm) wicker hanging basket. Seasonal flowering plants and contrasting foliage bring life to an entrance, porch or patio; the mix changes through the year.

Why we like it

Ready-planted and convenient to hang.
A colourful display without taking up ground space.
Natural wicker suits traditional and contemporary gardens.

What to know

Hang securely from a bracket rated for the full weight of the basket when wet.
Choose a bright, sheltered spot appropriate to the seasonal plants supplied.
Check moisture daily in dry or windy weather: hanging baskets lose water quickly.
Water thoroughly as needed and allow excess water to drain.
Remove faded flowers and protect tender planting from frost; refresh the mix as the season changes.

Flower colour: Varies according to the seasonal planting.

Flowering months: Varies by the mix supplied; often autumn through spring for cool-season planting.

Eventual height and spread: Basket approximately 30cm across; plant height and trailing spread vary.

Please note: Exact flowers and colours may differ from the photograph. Delicate planted item: Newlands driver delivery within Dublin/Kildare or pallet delivery elsewhere, not standard courier.

Packed by people who care

From our garden centre to your garden

We take as much care packing your plants as we do choosing and caring for them. Every plant is carefully wrapped and secured for its journey from Newlands to your door.

Recycled cardboard, carefully wrapped

We wrap every plant in recycled shredded cardboard and pack it neatly into cardboard boxes, cushioning and protecting it on its journey.

Protected for the journey

We secure plants with care so they stay protected even if the box is turned upside down in transit.

As little plastic as possible

We avoid plastic wherever we can in our packaging. Aquatic plants are an exception, as they need suitable packaging to retain moisture.

Plant dispatch: Monday to Thursday

We dispatch plants Monday to Thursday to help avoid them sitting in a distribution warehouse over the weekend.

I am absolutely delighted with the service I have received from Newlands . The Order of various daffodil bulbs were delivered the next day ! How efficient was that! I have begun to plant them to have an early spring display. Each of the bulbs look healthy and not soft as sometimes occurs . I would highly recommend Newland for ordering , fast and protected delivery and competitive prices .

Excellent

Tried this substrate out of curiosity. Previously my gecko was on Earth Pro Arid which itself is a good substrate, so I didn't expect it to be outperformed. I prefer this substrate by far. It does not give off any dust when dry. When wet it sticks and holds together like sand on a beach, making it very malleable and easy to landscape your viv. It holds humidity very well. My gecko hates sphagnum moss, so I use this in his humid hide and it works just as good, so it's solved that issue for us!

Everything I ordered came packaged very securely with fragile stickers attached to the outside. Which was appreciated as bulbs were also in my order. Order arrived quickly too!
