Lilium 'Orange Pixie' is a stunning Asiatic lily with bright orange flowers that bloom in early to mid-summer. The flowers are trumpet-shaped with gently recurved petals and prominent stamens. This lily is a prolific bloomer, producing many buds on each stem, which means it can provide a beautiful and long-lasting display in the garden or in a vase. 'Orange Pixie' is a compact plant, growing to about 60cm in height, making it suitable for smaller gardens or for growing in pots and containers.
Why we like it:
- Vibrant orange flowers add a burst of colour to the garden
- Compact size is ideal for smaller gardens or containers
- Long blooming period provides an extended display
What to know:
- Plant in well-draining soil in a location that receives at least six hours of sunlight per day
- Water regularly during the growing season, but do not let soil become waterlogged
- Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer in the spring
- Deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms
- Lilies are toxic to cats, so take care when planting in areas where cats may be present
