Stromatopelma calceatum is a very beautiful African tree-dwelling tarantula. However, it lives very hidden and can usually only be seen outside the shelter at night. She is very fast and always tries to retreat or escape. Even if the species is not necessarily aggressive, Stromatopelma calceatum is not necessarily suitable for beginners because of its speed and the poisonous effect that should not be underestimated.
