Doodia media, commonly known as the Rasp Fern, is a striking evergreen to semi-evergreen fern native to Australia and New Zealand. Known for its upright, lance-shaped fronds that emerge in shades of rosy pink or red before maturing to a rich green, it brings bold colour and texture to shaded garden spaces. Its compact growth habit and unique foliage make it an excellent choice for underplanting, woodland gardens, containers, or shaded borders. It thrives in moist, humus-rich soil and adds a subtle, tropical feel to temperate gardens.
