We can help choose the right trees for the right place. Here are some tips when thinking about a suitable tree for your garden. Planting the right tree in the right place is the most important decision when choosing which tree to plant in your garden.  By matching the right site & soil ensures that your tree will grow and perform with minimum maintenance. When buying a tree there are a few simple questions to ask yourself.

  • What is the size you are willing to let the tree grow to? How big do you want the tree to be? ie. the size of your house or much smaller.
  • Would you like a deciduous or evergreen tree?
  • Would you like a tree that gives berries, Autumn colour, flowers?
  • Is your garden exposed or sheltered? are you near the coast?
  • Is the tree going to be in a damp wet spot or in a dry sunny corner?

Below is a list of trees we recommend for medium to large gardens that are hardy and will do well in any garden with a bit of room to grow. Click here to see our full range of Trees
